Hello students!
My name is Mrs. Hauser and I will be your life skills instructor for this school year. I am a graduate of Western Michigan University with a major in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. In my classroom, the role of the students will be one that allows the freedom for expression and creativity.
In my classroom, I feel that a student also needs to have a voice. This will help you feel important and understood. As a student of mine, you will be able to experiment with writing skills and hands-on activities to realize their strengths and weaknesses through new and interesting tasks.
My goal for my students is for them to feel as though they are in a nurtured, respectable classroom environment that allows learning on a fun, yet knowledgeable level I want to take you to different levels and see you work together to develop an understanding not only of what is being taught, but also an understanding of each other.
I feel it is beneficial for students to do group work. Group work is the key to having a successful class and it is something that I value. The impact of group work helps each person learn to work together and transforms the atmosphere of the class as a whole. I feel that it stretches their knowledge, and self-confidence, and teaches them how to find information in a variety of ways. I also feel a key to success is for the class to work on projects to help others.
I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you! Have a great start to your year!
Mrs. Hauser
